We have a few things to go over. I have had a few people tell me that they are organizing a group of 8-10 people for a home Mass. Wonderful! Just a couple of reminders about that. I have been hoping groups will organize themselves geographically. Meaning that your gather people who live around or near you. Ideally, they would be able to walk to your house. Secondly, they don’t have to be close friends, just fellow parishioners. Organizing around geographic proximity eliminates a host of problems.
We celebrated the official launch of our pizza oven ministry with an event on July 16th. Thanks to all who organized and worked the event as well as those who participated. It was delicious! We look forward to many similar events.
Friday August 7th we will celebrate our second annual Mass to honor God the Father. Please consider participating if you can.
The weekend of August 15 & 16 I will be consecrating our parish to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. You are welcome to participate by renewing (or making for the first time) your individual consecration to Mary. We will provide blessed miraculous medals for any who want them, or simply wear the one you are currently wearing and I will bless it with the others. If it has been blessed before, it can be blessed again.
I have two projects that are in the works but moving slowly; installing the screen for drive-in movies and building a manger at St. Joseph’s for a life size nativity scene. If you have skills and want to help, just let me know.
The plans for our annual pilgrimage are set. We have over 30 people participating this year. May God bless our efforts to honor him and keep all safe during this year’s event. God bless.
